– Sir Toby Belch, to Malvolio

Twelfth Night, or What You Will

by William Shakespeare     directed by Karen Fort

Twelfth Night played in November to December, 2004

Caesario (aka Viola)

Chessmen stand in for cast members during planning sessions...

Olivia defends Caesario (actually, this is Sebastian) from her kinsman Sir Toby Belch

Duke Orsino and the musicians.

“If music be the food of love, play on;

  Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,

  The appetite may sicken, and so die.”

Maria, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, and Fabian plot Malvolio’s downfall.  The scamps!

Malvolio takes the bait...

... and comes to Olivia, in yellow stockings, cross-gartered.

Feste hustles a few more coins from Duke Orsino.

Brother and sister are re-united in a big Happy Ending.  Everybody gets married. Except Malvolio.

Sir Toby Belch rouses Sir Andrew Aguecheek to challenge the upstart to fight.
