The sad girl has been immured in the apple orchard, locked in with seven keys, guarded by seven “man-hating” maidens. This is the story of how a trio of traveling gypsies - including two boys - manage to convince them to release the sad girl and embrace love. The keys to her release are found in storytelling and adventure.

The Young Actors’ Program
Beginning in 2007, we initiated a series of literature-based productions by, for, and about young people. Play selection was done by the ensemble, in consultation with director Karen Fort. These were fully staged productions. The script was edited to a practical and accomplishable length and cast size. We worked extra hard to balance the roles. All performances were open to the public, and we encouraged participation by youth age 10+, with a special focus on teens and High School age youth.
This website will NOT be updated beyond September, 2011.
